We invite you to join us and be a part of an ever-growing group of like-minded fitness and sports enthusiasts in an endeavour to alter your lives to be better, fitter and happier.
To put it bluntly, Fitso gives you the opportunity to learn from an elite group of coaches and interact with some of the most motivated sportspeople of our times. From champion badminton coaches to medal-winning swimming coaches, we have them all here. Prolific talents in badminton and swimming are also some of our regular users, and they make our user pool just as awe-inspiring as our pool of coaches!
Here’s a look at 3 people that make Fitso better:
Aum karan Sharma – One of India’s Rising Badminton Starlet!
Rising star Aum karan has been training at Fitso’s Badminton Center in Sector 48, Gurgaon. This young badminton champion already has numerous accolades associated with his name. The most notable and recent ones include achieving the All-India #2 rank in badminton (2019) in the U-13 category and earning a bronze medal at the Sub Junior National Badminton Championship. Aum also owns the coveted tag of being the youngest player to qualify in the U-19 National Ranking competition.
From taking up the sport at the age of 8 to getting through school on a full sports scholarship, Aumkaran has many things to boast about.
Aumkaran is, even at this young age, an inspiration for all youngsters taking up badminton and badminton coaching seriously. Interacting with such stars, and learning their discipline and determination by watching their practice firsthand is a key takeaway for just about anyone considering his career path. Come watch him practice at our Fitso centres while he is still accessible, and before he takes the world by storm.
Badminton Coach Sahil Gehlawat – Fitso’s Coaching Star!
CBSE National Badminton Championships gold medalist Sahil Gehlawat can be seen coaching budding badminton stars at Fitso’s Gurgaon Badminton centres. Sahil has earned a gold medal in singles and a silver in doubles at the Haryana Badminton State Championships. He is also a bronze medalist at the All-India University Badminton Championship and a silver medalist at the North Zone Inter-University Badminton Championship.
Sahil is currently training for the 2020 Khelo India University Games.
Keeping all these stellar badminton accolades aside though. Sahil Gehlawat is a highly professional badminton coach who stresses on speed, agility and composure while at play. He also pays personal attention to his wards when it comes to fitness and endurance training.
Para-Swimming National Record Holder Shams Aalam – Inspirational!
Mohammad Shams Aalam Shaikh, an Indian para swimmer from Bihar, is a regular Fitso user. In terms of accomplishments, wheel-chair bound Shams Aalam holds the Limca World Record for longest open sea swim (Goa) by a paraplegic person, a record for an 8km swim completed in 4 hours in 2017! In 2019, at the Winter Polish Open Swimming Championships, Shams Aalam set a new national record by completing the 100m breaststroke in 01:39:34 and 50m butterfly in 00:48:09.
Before a benign tumour that left him paralyzed, Shams Aalam was a karate champion. Even after such a massive personal setback though, Shams refused to let depression set in. He reinvented himself as a para-swimmer and currently holds over 15 medals to testify for his success.
In addition to his extraordinary sporting achievements, Shams Aalam is now working towards what he calls ‘accessibility through sports‘. He aims to reach the large chunk of disabled people who live in rural areas without the relative comfort of disability-friendly facilities afforded by larger cities. He wants to motivate such disabled people to take control of their minds and lives, to achieve great things. Due to his vision and his success, not to mention his remarkably inspirational life story, Shams Aalam has also been invited to give TedX talks.
Since he is a regular at our facilities, you can meet this amazing sportsman in person at Fitso Swimming Pools. Watch him train, unwind, relax and work out. Make meaningful interactions and introduce him to your little ones. We assure you, there can never be a better role model for your children, not in sports, nor in life.
To conclude, if you’d like to get into a sports and fitness mindset, Fitso is the place for you to be at. It is only here that you get the chance to get up close and personal with eminent sporting personalities, either as other facility patrons or as coaches and trainers. A much cheaper and more viable option than enrolling at a Nikhil Kanetkar or a Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy, we’d say!
