So it’s your race day on your head. Here are few race day tips top help you get started and to take a strategical advantage.
Race day morning: Set an early alarm so that you get up and finish off your morning chores and have ample time to do small but important things (morning snack, coordination with fellow runners etc.)
Gear: Remember to wear the used running gear (shoes, socks, top and bottoms), do not try and experiment with new clothes or fittings for the race.
Stomach care: Time your morning snack/coffee so that you are able to clear out your system before heading to the race venue. A clear stomach is a prerequisite for having a good strong run.
Mind game: Most importantly enjoy the atmosphere, do not kill yourself over the timing, work towards your timing and at the same time experience the run in great conditions.
