- The most talked about issue is the sugar level. Patanjali Chyawanprash contains as much as 67% sugar which is definitely a huge deal breaker. There is nearly 6.7-7 gm of sugar per 10 gm of Chyawanprash. This is way too high for the composition of Chyawanprash. (All platforms)
- Frequent complaints about stomach pain upon consumption. Although these individuals may have overdosed their daily intake, it’s a point to keep in mind.
- A large number of people have reported betterment in their seasonal conditions such as cold, fever etc. A few have reported worsening of their conditions.
- People preferred the thickness of Patanjali’s Chyawanprash since it is comparatively low in water content as opposed to other brands.
- It has a much spicier taste and grainy textured feel as compared to other major brands.

Patanjali Chyawanprash vs Dabur Chyawanprash
- The best form to take Chyawanprash is organic due to the high bio-nutrient values. The ingredient count is well over 45. To add all the natural ingredients would make it pretty expensive. But in India, we get 1 kg container at around ₹300.
- Speaking from a commercial point of view, it’s not feasible to add all natural ingredients and still make a profit in a market like that of India’s. It is highly unlikely to have an all natural product that is feasible.
- Although from the available products, Dabur and Patanjali seem to sit atop the market.
- Between the two, Dabur seems to have the edge on customer reviews. Though Patanjali boasts quality, unhealthy amounts of sugar have been reported in Patanjali’s product. This, unsurprisingly, is a huge deal breaker.
