The banana and milk diet had many versions, but the principle is the same, to consume fewer calories and stay healthy.

The most popular version is the one in which you must consume 2 or 3 bananas with one cup of fat-free milk per meal. You can eat the bananas and after drink the milk or you can do a banana and milk smoothie. It is very important that during the diet plan you consume plenty of water.

Sample Banana and Milk Diet Plan

  • Breakfast: 2 Bananas and 1 cup (250 ml) of warm skimmed milk
  • Mid-Snack: Drink 3 glasses of water
  • Lunch: 2 Bananas and 1 cup (250 ml) of warm skimmed milk
  • Mid-Snack: Drink 3 glasses of water
  • Dinner: 2 Bananas + 1 cup (250 ml) of warm skimmed milk

You can either prepare banana shake or can have them separately.

  • This diet has few missing elements such as iron, zinc, copper and vitamin. Take vitamin and mineral supplement when you are following the diet.

Please note because some vitamins and minerals are missing, it’s recommended to follow this diet for more than 4 days. Also, it’s not recommended to follow this diet during menstrual period.
