Special pregnancy diet for Kareena Kapoor
Diwekar revealed that Kareena didn’t believe in munching on ‘exotic’ foods, but rather preferred for Indian home-cooked meals. This was also the real reason behind her glowing skin.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s diet included eating a homegrown banana, dal chawal or roti–sabzi when home. She kept her food simple and right, says the celebrity nutritionist who has been counselling Kareena for many years.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Diet has always revolved around eating healthy and home cooked food and practising yoga, even today.
The everyday diet: Kareena Kapoor Khan’s diet has always been strictly vegetarian. She has banana for breakfast. For lunch, she chooses either rice or roti with dal and vegetable.
Exercise along with simple desi meals
Refraining herself from air-conditioned gyms, Kareena Kapoor Khan simply loves yoga. She combines Pilates workout with yoga to get a healthy and fit body and loves to perform power yoga with Surya namaskar and ashtanga yoga.
Don’t shoo away the White Carbs: Kareena Kapoor Khan’s diet is rich in white carbs. She is fond of the big bowl of rice for dinner.
Sticking to our Roots: Over the last few years, many nutritionists and food experts have steered the health wagon towards food our ancestors cooked and enjoyed – Fresh ingredients and traditional methods of cooking – sautéing, grilling, braising and all. Processed food has been pulled up as bad influence, a medley of the wrong ingredients, preservatives, colour and basically everything that could disturb good health.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s diet comprised of everything that was traditional and different from the people in West.
She believes that we have some of the oldest traditions in the world and food has been at the heart of it all.
She was told eat full-fat cheese, after which she realised she was losing weight despite eating it. Ghee rotis have been part of our traditions, our lifestyle for years. She recalls her mother used to give her ghee with rice as a child and she eats that, even now.
Junk Food – Yay or Nay?
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s diet has always been just perfect. She always eats and at the right time. She doesn’t feel the need to eat something at 6 or 7 PM, those three pieces of biscuits. She laughs, that if anyone spots her at a food store, they will find her in the diet section, maybe amongst the yoghurt.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan has set a brilliant example, to encourage women, to respect and use local seasonal produce, while at the same time sticking to what we’ve been eating all our lives without running after ingredients that need to be imported from across the world.
